Hello!
I’m Maria. I’m glad you’re here.
I believe every person bears the image of God. We are shaped by our stories, relationships, wounds, and choices, but we are not ultimately defined by them. Each of us possesses an inherent dignity that cannot be earned, lost, or reduced to a role, diagnosis, failure, or success.
My work begins with the belief that people are more than problems to solve. We all develop ways of surviving that once made sense but may no longer reflect who we were created to be. Growth often begins as we learn to tell the truth about our lives, receive grace, take responsibility for our choices, and become more fully ourselves in relationship with God and others.
My Christian faith shapes how I understand this hope. It is also why I believe mercy and truth belong together. Lasting growth requires both.
Professionally, my work spans military leadership, systems engineering, and data science. These experiences have taught me to think in systems without losing sight of the people within them. Whether I’m walking alongside an individual or thinking about a team or organization, I’m interested in what helps people flourish and what allows communities to live more faithfully into the values they profess.
My hope is that this is a place where you can be seen honestly, challenged thoughtfully, and reminded that your identity is deeper than the stories that have shaped you.
If you’re interested in the training and experience that shape my approach, you’ll find those details below.

Training and Formation
I am a Certified Biblical Trauma-Informed Coach through the Freedom Academy at Freedom Movement and have completed an ICF-accredited Level 1 coach training program.
I have completed Narrative Focused Trauma Care Level II through The Allender Center, focused on engaging stories of trauma and abuse. I am continuing through the Level III program, which includes advanced training, practice, and mentorship as I pursue certification. My formation has also included participating in nearly two dozen story groups, giving me sustained experience with the vulnerability, care, and communal practice this work asks of us.
I am also training as a Heart Coach Facilitator through Lead by Heart, with a focus on conscious communication and relational repair.
I hold a PhD in Systems Engineering, with research focused on large language modeling, as well as two master’s degrees connected to my professional work.
